Most of us last saw Jo at our 35th Reunion at Marymount, Tarrytown in October 11th 2002 (picture at right). On January 5th 2003 Dotsie sent out an email informing us that Jo had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
In April 2003 Marghretta was able to visit Jo at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston NY, where she was undergoing chemo and radiation therapy. Her prognosis was not good, surgery was not an option, since her immune system had been compromised.
Here is a letter that Jo sent thanking everyone for the cards, letters and prayers she received.
On 18 August 2003 Jo left us.
